In this workshop, we will provide an overview of artificial intelligence in the aerospace domain, on its application areas and what makes it different from other domains. We will take a look at this from the perspective of past and current research and development activities at Airbus.
We will highlight scikit-decide, an AI framework for reinforcement learning, automated planning and scheduling, open-sourced by Airbus. In the hands-on part of the workshop students will have the opportunity to compare different algorithms in a flight planning task.
This workshop is organised in collaboration with the artificial intelligence research group of Airbus Central Research & Technology located in Ottobrunn, working on emerging topics in the AI domain, in collaboration with the Mission Systems group within Airbus Defence and Space that is working on bringing AI into future products.
Speakers from Airbus:
Christian Keimel, Fabian Miehe, Stefan Nagel
